    These are beautiful. Are they sunflowers? If not, what is the name of them?

    • Carol Cole says:

      Yes, yes, they are sunflowers. I love this variety with all the side shoots of flowers and the bees love sunflower
      pollen.
      I try to have the latin name of flower on the photo, if you put your cursor over the photo, the name should come up.

    End of summer so soon!
    Robert Frost’s poem comes to mind:
    Nature’s first green is gold,
    The hardest hue to hold,
    Her early leaf’s a flower;
    But only so an hour.
    Then leaf subsides to leaf.
    So Eden sinks to grief.
    So dawn goes down to day.
    Nothing gold can stay.

    I especially feel the end of summer in the cool nights. Harvest will be early for us this year. Your sunflowers are beautiful!
